Higg FEM 2025 Energy and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Calculation Updates

• Release Date: November 6, 2025 • Key Changes: Annual updates to enhance data quality and global model consistency • Emission Factor Updates: Chilled Water, District Heating, Textile Waste, LPG/Propane, Gasoline, Unknown Renewables, Purchased Steam, etc. • Energy Intensity Model Change: District Heating and Chilled Water → Improved Consistency with Industry and Global Models • Biomass Fuel: If a plant reports its fuel usage ratio, emission factors will be calculated based on that data. • Comparability Impact: Some items may have slightly decreased comparability with FEM 2024, but the impact is expected to be minimal. • Re-baselining is not required: Instead, the annual change rate (%) calculated by the platform is recommended for external reporting.
